Board of Directors meeting
Acting on the invitation of former whistleblower and current senator of the Republic of Ireland, Dr. Tom Clonan, EuroISME’s Board of Directors met in Dublin for its semi-annual meeting. We met on the premises of the Irish senate.
Most members of BoD had already met Tom at EuroISME’s annual conference in Vienna, in 2019, where Tom delivered an impassioned speech on his experience as a whistle-blower, which was followed by a standing ovation of at least ten minutes. A written version of Tom’s speech is available as PDF here.
At this week’s meeting, the BoD discussed the preparations for EuroISME’s next annual conference which will take place in May in Athens, while the BoD also agreed to a second edition of the ethics playing cards in the Ukrainian language – the second edition will be slightly revised in order to take account of the very positive input received from Ukrainian soldiers who are fighting on the Eastern front. Finally, the BoD also discussed the potential for future co-operation between EuroISME and the Irish military.
